With the lockout in effect, Deron Williams will most likely play in Turkey if the lockout doesn't lift before the start of the season. Pau Gasol may play in Spain. Sonny Weems has signed a deal with a Lithuanian team. With some NBA players playing overseas, some players may follow suit. But there aren't many teams overseas that can pay a star player like Williams or Gasol big bucks, so we may see a few more players leave to a different country.

I just wrote a post about how the players seem to be opne to the idea of playing overseas. Deron Williams was the first to state his intentions but I doubt he will be the last.
ReplyDeleteI agree. I heard that the Turkish team that want Williams also wants Kobe... not happening.
ReplyDeleteIn this kind of situation, the head of the NBA should come up with a better plan quickly to cope up with the crisis.
