Albert Pujols's contract has not been reached as Pujols asked for a 10 year deal and the Cardinals only offered him 8. Albert Pujols wants a contract similar to Alex Rodriguez, who makes almost twice more. They have been performing about the same, so thats one big reason on why Pujols wants a bigger contract

10 years is quite a long time for a contract. I'm sure he will be staying in St. Louis he is the front for the team. There is no way they want to lose him at all.
